Caia Park Partnership Ltd has received £4,900 to fund woodwork courses. The courses will be for local people to gain skills and experience in wood carving and wood working.
The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation, which offers Discovery Grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.
Caia Park Partnership works with individuals, communities and partner organisations in Caia Park and Wrexham wide to provide activities, services and facilities that meet identified needs. For over 20 years Caia Park Partnership (CPP) has been at the heart of the community of Caia Park, Wrexham. CPP works with the whole community at all stages of their lives. The grant will enable CPP to provide two woodwork classes a week which will be open to members of the local community free of charge.
Alison Hill at Caia Park Partnership Ltd said: This grant will allow us to open up the classes to people who have never done wood working before. It will give them a chance to learn new skills and make new friends.”
