The P&A Group Of Companies based in Mold is a family-run business with a long-standing timber heritage. Over the last four years P&A has provided great support to Caia Park Partnership (CPP). The company’s Managing Director Steve Morgan has provided business skills mentoring to CPP’s Chief Officer and P&A have generously provided advice and support on many issues such as marketing, financial forecasting, lean management systems and business development. They have even provided volunteers to regenerate the play area at our day nursery Sparkles including the donation a lovely little picnic table which is very popular with the children.
P&A’s support has often focused on CPP’s Caia Crafts. Caia Crafts is a social enterprise producing high quality, hand crafted wooden products. The enterprise grew out of our woodwork shop providing training to local residents, many of whom have poor health, physical or learning disabilities or are unemployed. P&A have regularly donated pallets and packing wood used by CPP’s Caia Crafts to make our Eco range of products.
Last week P&A donated several pallets of high quality wood to Caia Crafts. The wood is FSC-certified timber sourced from responsibly managed forests as is all the timber used by P&A. The volunteers in Caia Crafts will be able to use the wood to design and produce new range of products for sale. This will enable volunteers at Caia Crafts to learn new skills and expand the range of products Caia Crafts already produces.
